We’ll also cover “substitute censuses” which are the Veteran’s Schedule, Agricultural Schedule, Manufacturing Schedule, and Mortality Schedule. Beginning Genealogy

Have you ever wanted to research your family tree but didn't know where to start?  The Amery Historical Society is offering an adult beginners' class in genealogy on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10am-Noon.  Topics will cover setting up an account, building a family tree, using search engines to find information, and general tips and tricks.  Participants must bring their own laptop; handouts will be provided.  Cost is $20 and goes to support the Amery Historical Society.  Class size is limited to 12.  To secure your spot, send payment along with your full name and email to AAHS, PO Box 465, Amery, WI 54001.  You will receive an email confirmation.
